Best City Cards are a new type of gift card with multiple categories and themes, launching in Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo Locations. These gift cards give customers more choices and flexibility without a fee.
These gift cards are redeemable at all locations listed here.
Using a Best City Cards is easy! Customers simply present the gift card for food, merchandise or services at time of payment. The card should be entered like a credit card. The amount of every purchase made will automatically be deducted from the value of the gift card. Customers are free to use the same gift card multiple times, across any participating brand until funds are depleted. Best City Cards cannot be reloaded.
Do not ring up Best City Cards as a gift card.
To ring up a Best City Cards, please follow these steps:
- Select CREDIT
- For transactions where the total bill EXCEEDS the gift card balance:
- Submit a transaction with the gift card first, if your Point-Of-Sale system supports partial authorization, then it will prompt you to use a second tender type. If not, then you will need to run a transaction for the remaining gift card balance first, then use the second tender type to cover the rest of the checkout amount.
- For transactions where the total bill is LESS than the gift card balance:
- Run a standard credit transaction
In approximately two business days, through your merchant processor.
It will be listed on your merchant acquirer statement as “Private Label” similar to how you see other product types: Visa Signature, Visa Debit etc.

There is no set-up charge. Your commission will be 90% of the value of the gift cards you redeem.
Returns may be refunded directly back to the original gift card if the customer is still in possession of it. If not, store credit may be issued.
No, a tip cannot be added to these gift cards.
There is an expiry date on the back of each Card; this is when the plastic expires. However, funds on the gift card never expire. If funds remain on the card after the expiration date, please call 833-528-4748 to have a replacement card issued and mailed to you at no cost. The balance on the replacement card will be equal to the balance on the expired card.

No, these gift cards are disposable and cannot be reloaded.
If the purchase is larger than the balance, swipe the Best City Cards for the exact amount available on the card, then process the remaining balance with another form of payment.
The program is risk free, as you can leave at any time with 30 days’ written notice. To opt out, please send a termination request to DL-LocalOCSales@bhnetwork.com. Once your Best City Card listing is removed, you are required to continue to accept Best City Cards for 30 days (to prevent customer service issues.) After this grace period, no further cards will be processed or redeemed.
